SEASON SUMMARY
The University of Southern Indiana returns to the NCAA Division II Tournament after a one-year hiatus and will be making its 15th appearance at the regional in the last 17 seasons. The Screaming Eagles enter the tournament as the GLVC West Division champions with a 26-6 overall record and a 14-3 GLVC mark.
USI is led by junior guard Jamar Smith (Peoria, IL), who is averaging a team-best 18.5 points per game and 3.9 three-point field goals per contest. Smith also was named first team All-GLVC and was named the GLVC Player of the Week each of the last two weeks of the regular season. |
