SEASON SUMMARY
Lake Superior State won a school-record 17 GLIAC contests on its way to posting the program’s sixth 20-win season and the Lakers’ first since 1995-96. The Lakers won the GLIAC North Division title for the first time since the league split into divisions in 1996-97. This season they are ranked in the top five nationally in average turnovers per game, assist/turnover ratio and three-point field goal percentage.

LSSU’s roster includes five seniors who turned around a program that endured six straight losing seasons. The Lakers are led by senior forward Tim VanOudheusden and senior center Ryan Kuhl, who were both named to the All-GLIAC North Division First Team. VanOudheusden, the GLIAC’s No. 2 scorer, averages 18.1 points per game. Kuhl averages 13.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He is the second player in LSSU men’s basketball history to lead the Lakers in rebounding for four straight years.
