Need to lease a horse?The University of Findlay has a limited number of horses* available for lease on a first come basis, (when we receive the application and deposit), during the camps for a fee of $175. Directions to the James L. Child Jr. Equestrian Complex:
From The University of Findlay Campus:Take Main Street south from the Main Campus. You will go through the downtown area of town. Continue past the beautiful old houses of downtown Findlay. After you pass the Servex Shopping Plaza you will come to Olive Street. Turn left on Olive St. Turn right onto County Road 201. The English farm is located on the corner of Olive St. and CR 201. Turn right at the first driveway, and the lobby is located in the left wing of the barn.
From Detroit or Toledo:
From Cincinnati or Dayton:Take 1-75 North exit at 156 onto 15/23 to Columbus. Exit at the State Route 68 exit. Turn left onto State Route 68 and go approximately two miles and Olive Street will be on your right. (Just before the Servex shopping plaza). Turn right onto Olive Street and go to the stop sign. Turn right and the farm drive is 50 yards on the right.
From Columbus Airport:Take 670 West to 1-71 North to 270 West to 23 North. Follow 23 to Carey where the road name will change to State Route 15 West. Exit at the State Route 68 exit. Turn right onto State Route 68 and go approximately two miles and Olive Street will be on your right. (Just before the Servex Shopping plaza). Turn right onto Olive Street and go to the Stop sign. Turn right and the farm drive is 50 yards on the right.

Your Stuff Your Horse Swim Suit & Towel Saddle & two Saddle Pads Sheets and Blankets Bridle (loose ring/full cheek snaffle) Pillow Grooming Equipment/Trunk-Container Several Changes of Clothing Halter and Lead with Chain Towel & Wash Cloth Cotton Lead without chain Toilet Articles Fly Spray Large Fan for dorm room Sponge, Bucket, Sweat Scraper Tall Boots and Breeches and/or Polo Wraps/Tendon Boots Paddock boots and chaps Standing/Running Martingale with rein stops ASTM Approved helmet Grain Scoop/Supplements Three hair nets/ Hair Clip Lunge Line/leather gloves Notebook Pad & Pencil Vaccination RecordsThe following vaccinations are required: Negative Coggins, Flu, Rhino and Strangles; Tetanus is strongly recommended. Please deworm your horse a couple weeks prior to arrival. Please bring records to verify this information. The stall bedding, cleaning equipment, feed and water buckets are provided by the University. You may bring your own feed. Parking is available if you prefer to leave your trailer.
