Three internships, a variety of extracurricular activities and a
competitive drive make for an excellent résumé and a well-rounded
college graduate.
Miller’s hospitality management internship with The Westin Hotel in
Hilton Head, S.C., is the one Miller feels gave him the best experience.
Miller’s other internships were with Marathon Petroleum Co. and
Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
“These three internships gave me industry experience, even before I
graduated, that I use das a competitive advantage over other
graduates when competing for a full-time position,” said Miller.

“The faculty helped me to always push myself academically and become
more involved to gain more professional experience. The faculty on
campus have given me many opportunities to not only build up my résumé,
but also hold great student leadership positions,” said Mindy.
On
campus, Mindy has gained experience as a special event coordinator,
culinary staff member and resident assistant. Mindy also has gained
experience through working at the Village Café, a student-run
restaurant. At Walt Disney World, she has worked as a resort cast member
and blitz participant for the Swan and Dolphin Resort where she plans
to pursue a career upon graduation.
“The networking connections that I have made through The University
of Findlay have helped me to secure a number of job opportunities."
“I made my decision to come to Findlay because it just felt like
home the minute I stepped onto the campus the first time. The faculty
and student body have helped me to grow in many respects both socially
and academically,” said Mindy. “They have become my friends and family.”
