One Graduate's Story: William Parkins

When
I first decided to advance my college education, I must admit, I was
apprehensive. After all, I was quickly approaching the age of 40, I’m
married, I have two children, and I couldn’t see myself having the time
or the energy for college. The degree completion program at the
University is for people like me, and is of the highest quality. For the
last two years, I have crossed paths with some of the most professional
and personable instructors. However, there is one that stands out from
the rest.For my orientation class, I had Scott Freehafer
as my professor. From day one, he accepted me into the University with
open arms, and my apprehension quickly disappeared. He has been an
inspiration throughout my two years at the University not only by
challenging my abilities as a student but by preparing me for the next
step in my professional career. Scott Freehafer is an
exceptional professor, an inspiring leader, and a remarkable human
being. I am proud to say that I will soon be a graduate of The
University of Findlay and appreciative to have crossed paths with him.
