Academic Programs
The University of Findlay offers the bachelor of science and an associate of arts. Students must demonstrate competency in communication, English, language, computer science and math. The University's general education requirements are designed to give students a broad overview of the various University academic disciplines, and the College of Business core is designed to give all business students an overview of various business disciplines. All undergraduate courses are taught by University faculty, not graduate assistants. Findlay’s faculty members bring strong business and corporate backgrounds to their classroom teaching. Academic advising is an important part of the business program. Professors serve as academic advisers to students in planning courses of study and career direction. The Dana Scholars' and Executive-in-Residence ProgramsEvery year the University chooses an executive to serve as the Dana Chair, a position funded and endowed by the Dana Corporation. The Dana Chair serves as a mentor for a specially-chosen group of upper-level undergraduate Dana Scholars who work as a group for the year. They take a class together, work on group projects and visit many local industries where they interact with top management. In addition, UF's Executive-in-Residence works with both undergraduate and graduate students in and outside of class to heighten their understanding of strategic business issues.
