Christina Gehret ’11
Fort Loramie, Ohio
“... I have been given many opportunities,” said Gehret. Among those opportunities include her
internship experiences
. Gehret was selected as an intern with the United States Department of Treasury in Washington, D.C., in spring 2010, and she also has interned with the Ohio Auditor of State’s office and the Thomas and Ridge CPA firm in Findlay. She says faculty at UF helped her obtain these opportunities.

Kevin Stokes ’10
Westerville, Ohio
A single comment was instrumental in Kevin Stokes’ success at The University of Findlay: “You will never know how much you can get done until you have to do it.” Accounting professor Douglas Asbury, whom Stokes considers his mentor, spoke these words to Stokes after the self-described “awkward shy kid in the corner” switched majors from Japanese to accounting and Asbury became one of Stokes’ academic advisers.

Logan Kreais ’09
Upper Sandusky, Ohio
“I was unsure at first what I wanted to do,” said Kreais. “Accounting was the best mix of what I was good at and what I liked – math and business.” And with Doug Asbury, assistant professor and director of accounting, as his academic adviser and mentor, Kreais was able to complete the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in just three years.
