Many companies in Findlay and other areas have traditionally sought our graduates for internships and for part-time and permanent employment opportunities.

The city of Findlay and its surrounding areas are home to a plethora of large, medium and small companies with domestic and international business interests. Headquartered in Findlay is a global company, Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. Another well-known company based in Findlay is Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC, wholly owned by Marathon Oil Company, the nation’s fifth largest refiner.

One of the 10 manufacturing sites of Whirlpool Corporation in the United States is located in Findlay. If you own a brand of dishwasher such as Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Estate, Roper by Whirlpool Corporation or Inglis, then rest assured that dishwasher is made in Findlay.

Learners can qualify for internships as early as the junior year. In the economics program, majors and minors are highly recommended to seek internships. Learners who qualify can request up to 12 academic credits in addition to working for pay while fulfilling the requirements of internship. Academic advisers in cooperation with the University’s Professional Experience Program will assist the learner in this process.
