The Hospitality Management program is a blend of classroom theory and practical application.  You will have the opportunity to get hands on experiences within your classes as well as industry experience in an internship.  The mix of general education and business courses strengthens the hospitality manager's ability to successfully compete in today's fast-paced service industry.
Hospitality managers of tomorrow must be adept at all facets of business operations and have a strong sense of how the hospitality industry works.  For that reason, many classes in the hospitality management program have a practical work and or project component.  It has been proven time and time again that students who hail from experiential backgrounds both in an educational and work setting are far more successful than those who have not experienced this academic structure.

Successful candidates will find unlimited employment opportunities in every aspect of this vast industry.  In fact, hospitality management and tourism is the second largest employer in the United States and first largest in the world, employing one out of every 10 people.  This industry accounts for more than seven percent of the world's gross national product.
