Points of Pride

  • The University of Findlay’s Hospitality Management Program is proud of its outstanding 100 seat public restaurant --- The Village Café --- proudly serving meals to the public and university personnel in this completely student run fine dining restaurant.
  • Each semester, student majors work through a system of major classes & labs carefully sequenced culminating in a fully prepared foodservice environment where students mirror what public dining facilities do today.
  • The Hospitality Management Program is housed in it’s own center, the University of Findlay Village, where state-of-the-art dedicated classroom, conference rooms, kitchen, dining, and faculty program offices are found.
  • The students of the hospitality management program are amongst only a few programs that travel consistently to top tier hotels in select cities working with sales professionals in the performance of their jobs. Students experience first hand how sales and marketing professionals function in their roles, while interfacing with corporate clients and assisting with and conducting the actual sales call.

  • The University’s Hospitality Management Club is a very active organization. They are involved with community, on campus and service projects designed to integrate the component of service learning and professional activity. They host some of the most outstanding and award winning on campus activities as voted by their peers from many of the several other on-campus student clubs and organizations.

Many of our students travel great distances to work at some of the most well known and unique hotel, resorts, and facilities in the United States. 100% of all our undergraduate students do at least, and most often more than one, pre-approved paid internship for college credit earned toward graduation.
  • Placement of our hospitality majors is exceptionally high upon graduation and is often near 100% on an annual basis.
