Patricia Brown
(September 2011)
Pat Brown is currently VP of Marketing for DSP Twenty Group, a consulting group that exists to help tire dealers improve profitability with a goal of increasing net profit for all members by 10% or more. Retailers, wholesalers and commercial dealers all can benefit from joining a 20 group where they meet with their peers and discuss the key business issues that confront everyone in this industry. By putting 20 heads together, workable solutions can be found and opportunities identified to make businesses stronger.
Prior to joining DSP Twenty Group in 2009, Pat spent 41 years working for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, the last five as VP of Global Branding and Communications.
Pat was one of the first manufacturers' representatives on the Tire Industry Association's (TIA) board of directors and has been active in the Rubber Manufacturer's Association (RMA') government relations and public relations committees. During Pat's successful career, she published articles on how to maximize advertising effectiveness for tire dealers and delivered presentations on low cost advertising ideas, how to market to women, use of the internet and other timely topics for tire dealers.
Pat earned a BA in Marketing from The University of Findlay in 1985, attending evening and weekend classes. Ten years later in 1995, she completed the Executive MBA program at Bowling Green State University.
Pat is an active member of the Findlay community and currently serves on the board of the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. In the past, she has volunteered with the United Way, WBGU-TV, the Flood Mitigation Partnership and has served on the Liberty Benton and Hancock County school boards.
