Field and Clinical Experiences
The AYA and Multi-Age program provides field experiences during each level of your education coursework. In EDUC 161 and EDFI 503, students have their first field experience. In EDUC 265, students in their sophomore block begin planning lessons and teaching within their content areas. During your junior year or EDCI 553, teacher candidates have a "mini" student teaching experience. Your field experiences culminate with student teaching. Teacher candidates are required to complete coursework prior to student teaching.
If you plan to student teach in the fall, apply by April 1. If you plan to student teach in the spring, apply by November 1. Applications are sent to Connie Leatherman, Director of Field Experience.
Your student teaching application, personal data sheet and log sheets are located in the Student Resources section of the College of Education home page.
