Are you looking for ways to marinate your science curriculum? The University of Findlay College of Education invites you to attend a night of “Fishing for Ideas”. This professional development activity is designed for teachers K-12 and non-traditional educators to enhance science teaching skills with unique lesson plans, activities, projects and ideas to integrate into the science classroom.
Instead of always fishing for ideas to teach K–3 science, learn about the Division of Wildlife’s new workshop “Growing up Wild,” an early childhood companion to “Project Wild” and “Wild Aquatic!” For 4th-6th grade classes, spark student interest with the engaging, hands-on, inquiry-based food web activity from the fish’s stomach.
The “Fishing for Ideas” teacher workshop is free and open to all educators, but limited to the first 40 registered attendees. Participants will receive a copy of level appropriate teaching kits including a book and handouts of all the activities presented. Time will also be designated for networking with fellow peers and The University of Findlay’s higher education faculty.
For more information or to RSVP by April 8, contact Dr. Gwynne Rife at rife@findlay.edu or call 419-434-4724.
