Traditional Program
This program is designed for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on health science and a Master of Occupational Therapy degree.

Weekend Program
This format is designed for occupational therapy assistants or adult learners who have: (a) completed an associate's or bachelor's degree or a significant amount of college course work in a related field, and (b) have at least one year's experience in a health related field.

HOW TO APPLY

Traditional Application Process for Transfer Students

The Department of Occupational Therapy at The University of Findlay subscribes to the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service, known as OTCAS. Transfer students seeking admission into the traditional program must apply online using the OTCAS application at www.otcas.org. The application deadline is February 1st. We suggest you begin the OTCAS application process eight weeks prior to the application deadline to allow sufficient time for OTCAS to process it.

NOTE: Official transcripts are not subject to the OTCAS application deadline (February 1); they may be submitted after the deadline. Applications will still be processed and released to The University of Findlay.

Traditional Application Process for Current UF Students

If you are currently a University of Findlay student, your advisor will provide you with an application during the month of October. The application will be due January 13th.

Note: All applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Admission to the University of Findlay does not guarantee admission to the Occupational Therapy Traditional Program

Weekend Application Process
Admission to the Occupational Therapy Weekend program is a two-step process.

  1. Applicants must first apply to The University of Findlay using the onlineTransfer/Post High School application.  APPLY NOW
  2. Applicants must send official college/university transcripts to the: Undergraduate Admissions Office, The University of Findlay, 1000 N. Main Street, Findlay, OH 45840.

Applicants will receive a credit evaluation from the Office of the Registrar. Once received, applicants are required to call the Administrative Assistant of the Occupational Therapy Program at 419 434-6936 for a brief review of the evaluation and to schedule an appointment with the Program Director to discuss the weekend program. A separate application must be completed for consideration of acceptance into the weekend program. The application will be provided by the Program Director.
