Deadlines and Information

 

Weekend College Program

  • Applications will be mailed to interested students in January.
    Applications are due March 16th.
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance within six weeks after the application deadline.
  • The applicant is responsible for including all of the required materials in the application packet.
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
  • Attention Non-OTAsClick here for required OT observation hours form which must accompany your application.

Traditional College Program
  • Applications will be given to qualified UF students in the month of October. Applications for UF students are due Jan. 13th and Feb. 3rd for transfer students.
  • The Admission Committee will review applications in February of each year.
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance within six weeks after the application deadline.
  • The applicant is responsible for including all of the required materials in the application packet. 
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Decisions of the Admission Committee are final.

Selection of Applicants

A number of factors are considered during the selection process. Categories include:

  • GPA (with emphasis on program prerequisites)
  • Program preparation
  • Involvement in outside activities
  • Service activities
  • Current membership in professional organizations (Weekend only)
  • Understanding of the profession
  • Recommendations
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership ability

While the application criteria serve as general guidelines, final decisions are based on review of the student's entire record.
