LAFF
Lively Activities for Fun and Fitness (LAFF) is an occupation-based lifestyle redesign camp aimed toward helping children who could benefit from attaining a healthier weight. The first camp was held in June of 2005 as part of a research project partially funded by the Findlay Rotary, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and in-kind contributions from The University of Findlay Occupational Therapy Program. The program includes follow-up sessions to monitor progress and provide ongoing support to the children and their parents. Assistant Professor Laura Schmelzer initiated and developed this program in conjunction with occupational therapy graduate students.
