Visiting Scholar

For the past seven years, the Occupational Therapy Program, with the support of University convocations funds, has been able to bring distinguished scholars in the field to The University of Findlay campus. This has become an annual event, highlighting the importance of scholarly activity and providing educational opportunities for faculty, area clinicians and students.

Dr. Renee Taylor provided students, faculty, and clinicians with an understanding of her Intentional Relationship Model, underscoring the importance of use of self in the therapeutic exhange on February 17th and 18th, 2011.

Dr. Roxie Black challenged students, faculty, and occupational therapy practitioners to become more self-aware as a beginning step toward becoming culturally competent health care providers. A record number of fieldwork educators, area clinicans, and academicians joined UF faculty and students for this free continuing education offering on February 18th and 19th, 2010.

As the 2009 leader in occupational therapy, Dr. Karen Jacobs spread her enthusiasm for the profession, encouraging students and practitioners to be "Occupation Fanatics!"
