Fieldwork

Supervised fieldwork is an important component of the occupational therapy curriculum and two levels of experiences are required.

Level I
Level I experiences are individual 40 hour placements in a variety of practice settings. Several supervised placements are scheduled after the first year in the program.

Level II
Level II experiences are full-time, 12-week concentrated experiences.  Students complete two Level II rotations and deliver services to clients under the supervision of a qualified occupational therapy fieldwork educator,  to develop competencies and skills as a an entry-level therapist. Professional behaviors, ethics, attitudes and values are mentored, as well as the clinical service provision component.
