To be interviewed for the Physician Assistant Program submit:

• Central Application Service Physician Assistant application (CASPA)
• Official transcripts from each school attended to CASPA and The University of Findlay (UF)
• The University of Findlay Supplemental PA Program Application
  • Health care experience documentation 
  • Personal statement
  • Résumé
  • Three recommendation letters
• UF International Office required documentation if you are not a U.S. citizen or if you have non-U.S. school transcripts

For entry into the Physician Assistant Program applicants must have:     

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited institution
• Program specific prerequisites. Courses successfully completed within the last five years are recognized as ideal; courses completed 10 or more years prior to application to the program exceed program statutory limits. Courses that fall within the ten or more year limit include biology, chemistry, physics and medical terminology. Courses taken more than 10 years ago should be repeated or a prospective applicant may challenge the course content to demonstrate a minimum proficiency in a subject by taking  a University of Findlay proficiency exam  and scoring ≥80%.
• A minimum overall 3.0(B) Grade Point Average on a 4.0(A) scale with a minimum grade of 2.0(C) for all program specific prerequisite courses.
• If not a U.S. citizen, a minimum score as listed below on one of the TOEFL exams or the IELTS:
  • 600 on a verified paper-based (PBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);
  • 100 on a verified Internet-based (IBT) (minimums of 25 in speaking and 25 in writing);
  • 250 on a verified computer-based (CBT); OR
  • 7.0 overall minimum band score on an International English Testing System (IELTS).
• A completed Supplemental Application with the following documents:
  • Health Care Experience Form (logs volunteer and/or paid health care experience total hours; a minimum of 500 hours is required);
  • Personal essay statement;
  • Current Résumé;
  • Three completed Letter of Recommendation Form with three letters attached.
• A signed form acknowledging your ability to meet technical standards.
• Evidence of a current physical examination including documentation of immunizations due at the time of matriculation into the PA program. Contact the PA program for the appropriate documentation.
• Evidence of health care insurance at the time of matriculation into the PA program.
• Current certificate of completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) as recommended by American Heart Association (AHA).
• Participation in Program interview (invitation only) and recommendation for admission by the Program Interview and Admission Committee (IAC).
• Completed background check prior to matriculation. Specific instructions concerning this requirement will be provided upon acceptance into the MPA Program.
