Doctor of Physical Therapy

REQUEST MORE INFO

The University of Findlay offers an accredited physical therapy program with two options:

  • Traditional program (with direct freshman admission option)
  • Weekend college program (WEC, the only weekend program of its kind in the United States)

Traditional Program

The traditional program is a six-year (3 + 3) program. Students may enter as undergraduates and take three years of prerequisites. The fourth year starts the professional studies phase of the program. Upon completion of the fourth year, students receive a bachelor of science degree. A physical therapy degree is awarded after completing a total of six years of study.

Direct Freshman Admission and Application Process

The University of Findlay is one of the few programs in the state that has a direct Freshman admit program. Students with a 3.5 GPA (3.5 on a 4.0 scale) or higher, and a 26 ACT (1760 SAT) score may be eligible for direct freshman admission. Please see the Admission Information link to the left for further details.

A completed application to The University of Findlay must be received by Dec. 1 to be considered for the direct freshman admissions option. Students who do not meet the requirements above may apply for admissions to the graduate program after July 1, typically of their junior year of college.

The physical therapy program reserves the right to make program and admission requirement changes without prior notice.
