Spring 2009 Update


The Athletic Training Program was very busy during the recent Symposium of Scholarship and Creativity.


Two student groups presented their graduate research projects during the poster session.

Crista Manley and Christina Ricketts presented their research project,


“Acute effects of self myofascial release on hamstring extensibility: The Stick® vs. foam rolling.”



 

Yoshiyuki Ono and Jessica VanTroostenberghe presented their research project,

“Ice immersion and the effect on single leg postural stability in physically active individuals with functional ankle instability.”









During the College of Health Professions Awards Ceremony, Kali Conger was recognized as the 2009 Athletic Training Student of the Year.  This award is given to the athletic training student who exemplifies the academic and professional qualities necessary for success in the profession of athletic training and sports medicine.
