Tuition and Fees for the MAT Program

VERY IMPORTANT: It is essential that all students read and understand the information below. Any questions should be brought to the attention of the AT Program Director or Financial Aid Office immediately.

• ALL students who apply or who are admitted into the professional phase of the MAT program are strongly encouraged to complete the "FAFSA" (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online as early as January EACH year. If assistance is needed, contact the Financial Aid Office (419-434-4792).
• Once admitted into the professional phase of the MAT Program, regardless of which program option is selected, ALL students are required to pay the credit hour tuition rate for graduate health profession programs throughout the duration of the MAT curriculum.
• Students in the MAT program are NOT eligible for institutional aid (i.e., from The University of Findlay) since the hourly tuition rate is already discounted.
• For current tuition ($ per credit) for AT students, please refer to the Business Office website.

• MAT course fees are $50 and are assessed to ATTR 520 Athletic Injury Care (first year summer session) and ATTR 519 Physical Agents (first year fall semester).  These fees are used for student liability insurance (annual), CPR-PR/AED certification, AT student name tags and instructional equipment and supplies.  A $50 course fee is assessed in PHTH 564 Anatomy I (first year fall semester) and PHTH 565 Anatomy II (first year spring semester) to help offset lab materials and supplies.  Up-to-date course fee information can be found in the Academic Course Schedule.
• Students will be required to purchase clothing to comply with the dress code for all clinical rotations both on and off campus which will include, UF AT t-shirts, game shirts, khaki or black pants, closed toed shoes, etc.    
• All costs for clinical education rotations are at the expense of students. This includes transportation, immunizations, drug testing, background checks or other requirements which may be required by specific clinical sites.
• Other expenses may include professional membership dues (NATA), personal computer, travel and associated costs to attend professional conferences, BOC certification exam, etc.

Scholarships

Neither the Athletic Training Program nor Intercollegiate Athletics offers graduate assistantships or financial aid to students in this program. 

There are limited funds used for two work study positions for second year AT students.  These positions require a maximum of five hours per week and pay minimum wage.  For more information please contact the program director.

Students are encouraged to become members of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), which would make them eligible for scholarships at the national, regional and state levels.
