Admission Information

Selection Process

For high school students, the Admissions Committee will select the 60 strongest candidates to fill our next incoming class.

For transfer students, the committee will select the strongest candidates that best fit our vacancies, should we have any.

Selection will be based on:

  • The Interview
  • The Essay
  • Applications (both UF and Pharmacy)
  • Academic Records (which includes test scores)

All aspects of the above list are taken into account when selecting our students.

For the incoming freshmen, the College of Pharmacy will send letters of acceptance, non-admittance, or request to be placed into a wait list (there is no rank order to the students placed in our wait list).  These letters should be sent by March 10.  Our class size is 60 and we accept that number.  It is likely that when we send our first offers, not all will accept.  Some accepted students may even withdraw. Therefore, a position on our wait list could be a very positive outcome. Most prospective freshmen will have 20 days to decide to accept or decline our offer.  A nonrefundable enrollment deposit will be requested at that time if accepting a place in our College of Pharmacy. This enrollment deposit will be placed into the student’s UF account and will be used as an advanced payment for tuition and/or fees. Please note, final information regarding tuition, fees and costs along with financial aid packages may not be available until the end of March. You may need to work with the Financial Aid Office to estimate costs and awards.  Their contact information is 419-434-4791 or finaid@findlay.edu.

For transfer students, there are typically three times of the year where we make placements

  • During the three week break between fall and spring semesters
  • After spring semester (typically June)
  • Before fall semester

Sometimes acceptance and the beginning of classes almost coincide.  Proactive planning on your part is always encouraged as you may have less than a day to decide if we have a last minute opening.   Financial Aid’s contact information is 419-434-4791 or finaid@findlay.edu.
