The Asheville Project
John Miall,
the visionary behind one of the events that have changed the way we look at health care for chronic illness, specifically diabetes,
recently visited campus and presented the Asheville Project to faculty and students.
John Miall was the Director of Risk Management for the city of Asheville, North Carolina, when the city implemented medication therapy management practices for employees of the city. In 2003,
he received a “Benny” Award in recognition
of
his innovative work in Employee Benefits. In 2004, he was named
Risk Manager of the Year by the Public Risk Management Association.
The Findlay Project
The University of Findlay in partnership with Blanchard Valley Hospital Center for Medication Therapy Management, began offering wellness and Medication Therapy Management services as part of the benefits package for employees and dependents enrolled in the University's health benefits package.
