Sixth Year
The sixth year is the pharmacy practice year. All courses taken during this time are pharmacy practice rotations and include one required two month rotation each for community and hospital pharmacy, one required two month general medicine rotation and three months of rotations chosen from a list of electives. Some possibilities for one-month elective rotations include family practice, pediatrics, geriatrics, surgery, nuclear pharmacy, poison control centers, neonatology, cardiothoracic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, drug information, compounding and anesthesiology.
