With a major in health at The University of Findlay, you will be prepared for a variety of careers in the health industry, which may include working in a clinical setting or even in a classroom. You’ll gain an understanding of the industry as a whole and learn how important health professionals are to communities. Or, you may choose to major in health and pursue a teaching career. At Findlay, you may earn a multi-age teacher licensure (pre-school through grade 12) to teach health education. You will learn from experienced educators about current health education methods as a foundation for excellent teaching.

As a health major pursuing a career in education, your course work will consist of a balanced mix of core health education classes and field experiences within the public school systems. As early as your freshman year, you will be in the field observing, participating and learning. Your classes in teacher education will prepare you for an exciting career as an educator.
