If you choose to pursue a health studies major, you will take courses such as the following:
Anatomy & Physiology I and II (BIOL 322/L, 323/L)
- In the anatomy and physiology course series students study the anatomical structure and physiological functioning of the human body. The course begins at the cellular level and continues through all of the organ systems including the integumentary, musculoskeletal, cadiovascular, respiratory, urinary and endocrine systems.

gerontology emphasis
, students take courses such as:
The Aging Process (GERN 200)
- This course is an introduction to the social, psychological and biological factors involved in the aging process. The course will examine aging as an individual as well as a societal process. Special emphasis will be placed on the theoretical frameworks appropriate to aging.
