Medical Technology
Welcome
Medical investigator? Laboratory analysis? Do these activities sound interesting? If so then Medical Technology, also known as Clinical Laboratory Science, may be for you!
Medical technologists perform laboratory tests used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. These tests range from simple blood tests to more complex analyses such as those needed to uncover diseases such as AIDS, diabetes or cancer. Medical technologists can also specialize in areas such as chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology and microbiology. They are responsible for the accuracy of test results and the reporting of results to the pathologist or other doctors.
