ALL applications to the Physician Assistant Program must be submitted through the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistant (CASPA). Perspective students should apply when it is possible for all admissions requirements to be met before matriculation to the PA program.

· The deadline for having your application to CASPA is November 1, 2008.
· The Physician Assistant Program will receive applications from CASPA until December 31, 2008.
(CASPA will not send an application to the PA Program until it is complete and verified)
Applicants are required to submit three letters of recommendation using the procedure(s) specified by CASPA. These letters may be from anyone of the applicant’s choice, but preference will be for those from, practicing physician assistants, physicians, other health professionals, previous employers or supervisors.

* When the PA Program receives a complete CASPA application, the applicant will automatically be sent a Supplemental Application which must be returned by the deadline stated on that application.
* A $50.00 nonrefundable processing fee must be returned with the completed Supplemental Application.
* A course completion plan, detailing how all prerequisites will be completed prior to the start of the PA professional level curriculum must be submitted directly to the Physician Assistant Program (not to CASPA) as part of the supplemental application. This plan must make it clear what courses are to be taken, where they are to be taken, and when they will be taken.
The number one reason why candidates are rejected or have to withdraw their application is because they fail to fulfill program or university specific requirements!

Application Evaluation
-The admissions committee will meet to review all applications in late February. Applicants who have met the admissions requirements may be contacted to schedule an interview.
