Welcome to the Physical Education program page.

A major in physical education/teacher education will prepare you for multi-age teacher licensure, grades pre-school - grade 12.  Course work consists of a balanced mix of core physical education major classes and field experiences in the public schools.  In addition, many physical education teacher candidates double-major in health education.

For students who want to pursue a career path other than teaching in schools, the physical education major will prepare you for jobs in community
recreation such as managers of golf courses, fitness centers, parks or youth directors at your local YMCA.
