The employment picture for the social work profession continues to be positive, not only at the local level but regionally and nationally as well. As cited in a recent issue of Time Magazine, social work ranked among the "15 Hottest Fields" in the number of jobs which will be available nationwide during the next decade.
Specifially, graduates of the program at Findlay do extremely well. For example, 75 percent of the graduating class of 2005 had either found employment or been admitted to graudate school
prior to graduation
. And approximately 90 percent of our graduates who have sat for the national social work licensure examination have passed it.
Graduates over the past decade have found employment throughout the country in such varied areas as child welfare, medical social work, the adult and juvenile justice systems, community organization, geriatrics, the Social Security Administration, developmental disabilities, transitional living shelters, and mental health.
