Welcome
The Officers of the Social Work Club for
2006-2007 Welcome You!
At The University of Findlay, you can receive the knowledge, values and skills that constitute the foundation of the social work profession. UF's faculty have practiced social work and have numerous years of practical experience in a variety of settings. At Findlay you will have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with the faculty, not just as teachers or lecturers, but as helping professionals who can help prepare you for the "real world" of social work.
In addition to a solid liberal arts education, the social work program will provide you with the knowledge base unique to the social work profession. The academic course work emphasizes the five areas of knowledge for the social worker: social service policy, human behavior in the social environment, social work methods, research and the field practicum.
