With English now serving as the `world language,' careers in ESL and second language teaching are unlimited. Our graduates are involved in the following professional areas:
Teaching ESL in public schools across the U.S.
Teaching adults ESL
Teaching English to international undergraduate and graduate students preparing to enter an American university.
Teaching English in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Thailand, the Ukraine and other countries.
Starting their own private language schools
Working as a consultant in curriculum or program development
Serving as a teacher- trainer or teacher consultant
Working for publishing companies who develop multicultural and multilingual texts.
Working for a private company which has international customers
Translating (only for those who have expertise in an L2)
