• Teaching adults ESL
• Teaching English to international undergraduate and graduate students preparing to enter an American university.
• Teaching English in Japan, Taiwan,  Korea,  China, Thailand, the Ukraine and other countries.
• Starting their own private language schools

• Working as a consultant in curriculum or program development
• Serving as a teacher- trainer or teacher consultant
• Working for publishing companies who develop multicultural and multilingual texts.
• Working for a private company which has international customers
• Translating (only for those who have expertise in an L2)
• Working for government agencies or multicultural resource centers needing expertise with second language learners
