Endorsements
Endorsements are attachments to teaching licenses and indicate areas of specialization.  To qualify for the pursuit of endorsement qualifications within the State of Ohio, you must be an Ohio licensed teacher or either: 1) be in the process of obtaining an Ohio teaching license that will be confirmed before TESOL/Bilingual endorsement procedures are completed; or 2) in the process of transferring a reciprocity state license into an Ohio license.

Undergraduate TESOL Endorsement:
The TESOL Endorsement is a 21 credit hour program for baccalaureate students wishing to pursue this endorsement while pursuing a primary license at The University of Findlay.  Along with course work, all students must must pass the Praxis II Exam for TESOL as required by the State of Ohio Department of Education.

Post Baccalaureate TESOL multi-age Endorsement:
This endorsement is a 21 credit hour program designed for Ohio State multi-age licensed teachers who already hold a master’s degree and who wish to add a general TESOL endorsement to their license without seeking an additional master’s degree.  All students must pass the Praxis II Exam for TESOL as required by the State of Ohio Department of Education

    • BLMC 515 - Foundations for ELL Education
    • BLMC 520 - Second Language Acquisition

    • BLMC 599 - Practicum
MA TESOL Endorsement
To complete this 36 credit hour endorsement, candidates must hold a valid Ohio Teaching license or either: 1) be in the process completing their licensing process; or 2) be in the process of transferring a reciprocity state license into an Ohio license.

    • BLMC 540 - Advanced Linguistics
    • BLMC 545 - English Grammar
    • BLMC 560 - Socio-Linguistics
    • BLMC 599 - Practicum
    • BLMC 600 - Thesis
    • Students must also pass the Praxis II Exam as required by the State of Ohio.
