Individual private instruction by University faculty or part-time professional adjunct instructors is offered for most wind, string and percussion instruments, as well as for the following:

• piano
• voice
• harp
• brass
• organ
• composition
• guitar

Applied music instruction can be taken for one or two hours credit.

Courses are sequential in nature, beginning with MUSC 183, Introduction to Applied Music, and ending with MUSC 499. Most Applied Music courses are repeatable, and students are encouraged to register for higher number courses as they grow musically.
