Vocal Music
Three choral ensembles highlight the Vocal Music area of The University of Findlay Music Program, and applied study is offered in voice, piano, and organ.
Students may audition for "University Singers," a small select "pop" ensemble that performs regularly on and off campus. This ensemble presents standard "pop" and classic Broadway literature with choreography. Auditions are held at the beginning of the fall semester for the academic year.
The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale is open to all students without audition, and this chorus often joins with the Findlay-Area Community Chorus to perform larger choral works throughout the year.
The Vocal Music area partners with the Theatre Program to present a major annual musical theatre production. Recent productions have included "Gypsy", "Carnival", "Shenandoah," "Promises, Promises," and the world premier revival of "REX," by Richard Rodgers, Sheldon Harnick, and Sherman Yellen.
