If you have an academic interest in art, the art history minor is for you. You will learn to analyze, interpret and decode works of visual art, and you will learn to explore and discover the world through a history of its art.
Art History provides you with useful lifelong learning experiences and, with opportunities to learn skills related to understanding and interpreting visual culture, you will see the world as never before.
The art history minor can be added to a studio art major or any other major.
For a minor in Art History you will take15 credit hours, including ART 320 History of Art I; ART 321 History of Art II; ART 420 Readings and Research; and two semesters of ART 395 Topics in Art History.
