Student Organizations

 

  • UFTV is a learning laboratory to prepare future broadcast professionals while providing an assortment of programming for the community. It broadcasts 24/7 via the local cable network, carrying a variety of UF sports, events and student-produced programming.

  • The Pulse is a weekly newspaper that serves the University community and provides a working laboratory for student journalists. The paper published weekly while school is in session and distributes nationwide via its online edition, to which prospective students, parents, alumni and others can subscribe for no charge.   • WLFC-FM is the University’s radio station. Playing Indie Rock, the station fills a unique musical niche in Hancock County. WLFC carries UF-based programming (sports, concerts by various UF ensembles and a variety of interviews with musicians).   • PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) is a student-run PR firm, where students build skills, learn leadership abilities and network. Working with real clients and campaigns, PRSSA has earned two national Teahan awards for chapter development and community service.
