Are you interested in teaching history? You can double major in history and education at UF and teach history and social studies upon graduation. Or would you rather be a writer? The combination of history and English majors will give you the background and skills needed to work as a technical writer, television reporter or communication consultant.

Our Program
As a history major at The University of Findlay, you will be challenged in classes like:
  • Introduction to history
  • American history
  • European history
  • Global history
  • A senior seminar in which you get to be the historian
  • Four elective courses of your choice (like economics, political science and geography) 
Special strengths of UF’s history program include military history, social history, women’s history, world history, film and history, state and local history, and other cutting-edge areas such as sports history, legal history and environmental history.  The chart below will show you the average pay Historians receive in various industries.


UF history faculty will help you round out your academic career by working with you to find exciting history-related internships. Examples of internship opportunities where UF students have served include:
