Scholarships
The Japanese Program has the following monetary awards and scholarships.

These awards (monetary award and certificate of recognition) will be announced at Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity Day in April.
  • Friends of Findlay Award
Friends of Findlay is a consortium of 12 Japanese companies in Northwest Ohio.   An award will be given to students who have made significant contributions to the promotion of friendship and understanding between the Japanese community and the surrounding communities through university activities.
  • Harada Seeds for Growth
Established by Dr. Fumiko Harada, founder of the Japanese Program, the award recognizes students who excel in both academic achievement and their leadership in contributing to the entire campus.
  • Outstanding Student in Foreign Languages (Japanese)
Awarded to students in foreign language and TESOL programs who have achieved academic excellence, made significant contributions to the community through their expertise, and demonstrated strong leadership in the program
  • Certificate of Recognition for Overseas Internship in Foreign Languages
Recognizes the accomplishments of selected students who represent the University of Findlay in overseas internship programs.

  • Eugine M. and Marjorie L. White Scholarsip
Awarded annually to a junior or senior with an outstanding record in the bilingual/multicultural program.

  • International Center Endowed Scholarship
Awarded annually to a student who must be pursuing a major in languages through Department of Language and Culture.
