Projected Course Schedule

2014-2015

Not every philosophy course is offered every year. Some 300-level courses are only offered every third year. Therefore, in planning your own schedule it is important to pay attention when specific courses that you want or need will be available.

As you work with your academic adviser you are encouraged to think ahead to avoid scheduling conflicts and minimize problems that could arise if you don’t register for one of your required courses when it appears in the regular rotation.

Online sections of PHIL 100, PHIL 101, PHIL 220, PHIL 224 and PHIL 226 are offered periodically, depending on projected enrollment demand and availability of an instructor for the given time slot. However, online sections are not specifically identified in the projected schedule given below. For this information you should check the University’s published course schedule that ordinarily is available one year in advance.

In some instances, a course listed for fall or spring may be offered during a “weekend” session. For that information you should check the University’s weekend college schedule that ordinarily is available one year in advance.

There are no philosophy courses routinely scheduled during the summer.

PHIL 490 (Topics in Philosophy) and PHIL 491 (Independent Study in Philosophy) are not included in the regular rotation but are offered at the discretion of individual instructors in collaboration with the program director.
