Career Opportunities
Our Political Science graduates have followed a variety of career
paths upon leaving The University of Findlay. The majority of
students come into the program with the intent to pursue careers in
government or law. Thus, the majority of our graduates go on to
law or graduate school, since further schooling is definitely needed to
become an attorney in the United States. And, to be competitive
and qualify for positions in foreign affairs, national security
agencies, policy analysis, city management, and a host of other careers
in politics and government, a graduate degree has almost become a
necessity. Our Political Science program is designed to make this
next step, entrance into a respected law or graduate school, a reality.
Also,
many students directly enter the workplace upon graduation. The
analytical ability, communication skills and knowledge base possessed
by the Political Science graduate are valued by business and industry
as well as by governmental organizations. For example, all
businesses deal with a plethora of governmental policies and
regulations on almost a daily basis. As a Political Science
graduate you can help sort through this myriad of rules and policies,
as well as communicate positions and perspectives to lobbyists, elected
leaders, and bureaucrats.
Our Political Science program can open the door for you to a variety of exciting and fulfiling career opportunities.
