Any career that demands a refined sensitivity to deep human concerns as well as to human cultures, morality, and aspirations will value students trained in the academic study of religion. Students of religion often enter careers in public service, law, government, politics, media, business, higher education, and pastoral ministries.  Some go on to graduate studies or professional schools to strengthen their qualifications; others move into work in the private or service sectors in which they may not often discuss religious issues, but where religious concerns and influences always are present.  All find themselves well prepared for futures in an unpredictable and ever-changing world, in which religion and spirituality continue to play crucial roles.
