A degree in Sociology provides a valuable foundation for a wide variety of careers. In general, a BA in Sociology is at least as good as any other BA degree in preparing the student for future graduate work or for general employment.  Employers recognize the knowledge that is gained about social organizations, social relations, and organizational functioning.  The skills gained in Sociology offer a strong advantage for jobs in government, human resources, marketing, law enforcement, social services, and administration.
