Foreign Language Placement Exam

Foreign Lanuage Placement Testing
Procedures:
If you have taken two years or more of Spanish or French, you are strongly encouraged to take the foreign language placement exam. If you place sufficiently high, you will receive foreign language credits with a $60 payment per course:
Step 1
: Reading, Grammar, and Vocabulary Section (takes approx. 20-30 min.) this is a computerized test that you may access with any computer that links with the internet.

When the screen asks for your ID number, type in any six digit number, or you may use your six digit UF ID number.
After you have taken the computerized test, please email the Administrative Assistant in the Language & Culture office at
donovan@findlay.edu
to let her know which test you took, what your score was, and the date of your test.
Step 2
: Listening Comprehension Section (takes approx. 30 min.). This is done on campus at the Language Lab in the Davis Street Bldg. If your Reading, Grammar, and Vocabulary test score is sufficiently high, you will be notified by the Administrative Assistant in the Language & Culture office that you need to complete this step.
Step 3
: Composition Section (by invitation only) takes approx. 20-30 min. Your first two scores will determine if you will be asked to write a composition. A time will be scheduled for writing the composition. The three test scores will determine if and how many credits you will be awarded.
