Academic Programs
The University of Findlay was a pioneer in the development of environmental, safety and occupational health (ESOH) degrees at both the Bachelor and Master’s level. The U of F offers an experienced team of qualified professionals with an average of 15 years of real world experience, state of the art training-related facilities, equipment, and regulatory knowledge. All the programs offered provide the skills necessary for students to obtain rewarding careers in many public and private sector companies and government agencies.
Masters Degree in Environmental, Safety and Health Management
The master’s degree program was established in 1994 and has approximately 120 students enrolled. The MS degree provides graduates with the skills to make managerial decisions and to provide leadership in environmental, safety and occupational health careers. The program combines science, engineering, policy and business concepts to prepare students in five distinct areas: Business Knowledge, Analytical Skills, managerial Skills, Technical Knowledge and Integrative Skills. All of the master's degree courses are offered online via the Internet, as well as on campus. This program is accredited by the Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC).
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health
The bachelor degree was first established in 1986 and is based upon a solid foundation of science, analytical skills and management techniques. The bachelor’s degree includes course work in: environmental management, emergency management, environmental and health compliance, and safety practice. The program has over 45 students enrolled with over 650 graduates, all of which found jobs after graduation. UF’s environmental programs provide students with paid internship and cooperative positions along with summer time employment which allow students to gain practical on-the-job experience. This program is the first in the country to be accredited by ABET-Applied Science Accreditation Council in Environmental Health and Safety
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Safety and Health Management - Degree Completion Program
The bachelor’s degree completion program allows students from 2-year associate degree programs to complete an environmental management bachelor’s degree online via the Internet. Classes are offered at an accelerated rate, in a compressed schedule which allows exceptional students to complete their Bachelors Degree in two years, all over the internet.
The degree completion program has approximately 40 students enrolled in it.

School of Environmental and Emergency Management
The School of Environmental and Emergency Management (SEEM) provides education, training, and information-transfer programs that focus on environmental, safety and occupational health (ES&H) issues, as well as security management, terrorism and disaster preparedness.
