Geology 120 and 205 are popular introductory courses in the Earth Sciences.
Geology 120 is a general education physical geology course, covering plate tectonics, solid earth materials and local geology and resources. Geology 205 is also a general education course and focuses on surficial processes, including an extensive overview of meteorology.
Geology 150 is an introductory course that focuses on human interaction with the Earth including natural resources and natural hazards. This course extensively uses Internet-based mapping tools such as GoogleEarth, along with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
