Animal Science
The University of Findlay's animal science program is designed to provide students with an extensive knowledge of the animal agriculture industry. The combination of our outstanding facilities and faculty expertise provides our students with a background necessary to successfully handle and manage animals, own and operate animal facilities or enter into a fulfilling animal agri-business career. Students are exposed to an instructional atmosphere that allows easy access to instructors and gives them the opportunity to learn about all farm species - beef and dairy cattle, swine, sheep, goats, llamas, and horses, as well as cats and dogs through classroom studies, live animal evaluations and demonstrations, and field trips. Students can pursue topics in livestock production, animal nutrition, genetics and reproduction, carcass evaluation, forage management, marketing, and general management practices.
