Welcome
Welcome to The University of Findlay Animal Science Undergraduate Program. Our program is designed to provide students with an extensive knowledge of the animal agriculture industry through management practices, business decision making, and marketing practices for all farm species as well as a growing family of companion animals. Combining our facilities and instructor expertise, students will acquire the background they need to successfully handle and manage animals, own and operate animal facilities, or enter into a fulfilling animal agri-business career.
Students will be exposed to an instructional atmosphere that allows easy accessibility to instructors and gives them the opportunity to learn about all farm species - beef and dairy cattle, swine, sheep, goats, and horses, as well as cats and dogs through classroom studies, live animal evaluations and demonstrations, and field trips.
Topics offered through various courses include nutrition, breeding and genetics, anatomy and physiology, marketing, general management practices, and the production of crops and animals.
The bachelor of science in animal science degree is designed to provide our students with the background and knowledge needed to succeed well in the animal agriculture industry.
