Biology Major and Emphasis Areas

Biology Major and Pre-Medicine Requirements

The biology major is focused on preparing students for graduate work or a career in biological sciences.  Students within the major are encouraged to complete an internship within their area of specialization or complete a research project under the direction of a faculty mentor.  These opportunities provide real-life experiences which have resulted in employment opportunities or graduate school admission for many of our students.

 Tissue Culture  Rieck center

The biology major at The University of Findlay is strong in both molecular and field related strands of biological sciences.  Our new state-of-the art Davis St. facility and the Rieck Center for Habitat Studies offer unique hands-on experiences for our students.
